Cortona is one of the oldest towns in Tuscany: Etruscan walls, a Roman and medieval centre, and views over the whole Valdichiana to Lake Trasimeno. We live here, and our guide shows it the way a local would.
The walk starts in Piazza della Repubblica, climbs the steep lanes to the churches and viewpoints at the top of the town, and finishes back in the centre with a coffee or an aperitivo. Along the way you hear the stories – from the Etruscans to Under the Tuscan Sun.
