Walk the woods with a truffle hunter and his dog, then taste the finds over a farmhouse lunch.
THE EXPERIENCE

Truffles can't be farmed – they have to be found, and in Tuscany the job belongs to the tartufaio and his dog. You join a local hunter in the woods of the Crete Senesi and watch the dog work, nose to the ground, until it stops and starts to dig.
After the hunt, lunch is about the truffle: fresh pasta, eggs or crostini with shavings of what was found that season, with local wine. You will learn how to tell the varieties apart, how to keep them and how to cook with them at home.
